Fashion Voucher Program 👗💜

At DYL Thrift Store, we believe fashion has the power to restore dignity, build confidence, and offer a fresh start. That’s why we created our Fashion Voucher Program—a way to give women in vulnerable situations the support they need, with privacy and compassion at the heart of it all.

Each Fashion Voucher provides the bearer with 10 free items, valued at approximately $50. They do not have to be used all at once, allowing women to shop at their own pace, whenever they feel ready.

We currently support women from a wide range of local organizations, including:

Mental Health & Addictions Services

McMan Services

Youth Centre

Social Workers at the Medicine Hat Library

Other reputable agencies supporting women and youth in crisis

Fashion Vouchers are often used in heartbreaking but courageous circumstances:
👩‍👧 A mother who fled in the night with only her children and the clothing on her back
🧑‍🎓 A teenager living with an alcoholic parent, with no means to buy essentials
🌈 A transgender woman taking her first brave steps toward living authentically

No matter the situation, every woman is met with kindness, compassion, and a welcoming team ready to help her find what she needs to feel confident and cared for.

We also want to emphasize: all personal information is kept strictly private. Women using a voucher are safe, respected, and protected while shopping with us. We’re not just here to provide clothing—we’re here to provide a safe space, a soft landing, and a little bit of joy.
