Do you take consignment?

No. DYL Fashions and DYL Thrift are both donation-based stores.
We do not buy clothing, trade clothing, or sell items on consignment. All items aredonated to us, and those donations help us support women in our community throughmonthly cash donations and Fashion Vochers.

Why don’t you offer consignment?

Our business model is built around giving back. By accepting donations instead ofconsignment, we are able to keep clothing affordable, support local women, and donatemonthly to the Women’s Shelter.We also provide Fashion Vouchers to community groups that help women who may bestarting over, attending appointments, going to job interviews, leaving difficultsituations, or simply needing a fresh start.

What does my donation support?

Your donation helps us:

What kind of donations do you accept?

We accept clean, gently used women’s clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry, accessories, andseasonal fashion items.We especially appreciate current styles, quality basics, plus sizes, professional clothing,casual wear, outerwear, footwear, purses, and pieces that still have lots of life left in them.

What should I not donate?

Please do not donate items that are wet, dirty, badly stained, heavily damaged, smoky,mouldy, or unusable.We love giving clothing a second life, but items need to be clean and wearable so theycan be sold, gifted through Fashion Vouchers, or passed along respectfully.

Do you accept men’s or children’s clothing?

Our stores focus mainly on women’s clothing and accessories.If you have items outside of what we usually carry, please contact us first so we can letyou know whether they are something we can use.

Where do I bring donations?

Donations can be brought to either of our stores.DYL Fashions PreLoved Boutique#105, 1865 Dunmore Rd SEMedicine Hat, ABDYL Thrift Store648 3rd St SEMedicine Hat, ABBoth stores have a back door with a doorbell for donation drop-offs.
If your donations are heavy, please bring someone with you to help unload. Our staff are
happy to receive donations, but we want to keep everyone safe when items are too
heavy to lift easily.

When can I drop off donations?

Donations can be dropped off at either store during donation hours.Both stores have a back door with a doorbell. Please make sure donations are clean,bagged or boxed, and ready for us to sort.If your items are heavy, please bring someone to help you unload.

Do you pick up donations?

Yes, we do offer donation pickups.If you would like to book a pickup time, please contact us through the contact form on our website or call the boutique at 403-528-3620.For large donations, multiple bags, or special situations, we appreciate as much notice as possible so we can plan ahead.

Do I need an appointment to donate?

No appointment is needed for regular donation drop-offs during donation hours.For large donations, estate clean-outs, multiple bags, or pickup requests, we appreciatea quick call or message ahead of time so we can be prepared.

How do the Fashion Vouchers work?

Our clothing vouchers are called Fashion Vouchers.
Each Fashion Voucher gives a woman 10 free items from DYL Thrift Store. The voucherdoes not have to be used all at one time, so she can choose what she needs when she needs it.
Fashion Vouchers are shared through local community groups, shelters, counsellors,social workers, high school counsellors, and organizations that support women.If we feel someone needs more than 10 items, we will give as many items as needed.
Our goal is to help women feel supported, confident, and ready for their next step.

Can community organizations request Fashion Vouchers?

Yes. If your organization supports women in our community and you have clients whocould benefit from Fashion Vouchers, please contact us.
We are always open to connecting with groups that help women feel safe, supported, confident, and ready for their next step.

Which organizations do you support?

We support the Women’s Shelter through monthly cash donations, and we also provide Fashion Vouchers to community groups and workers who help women in our area.
This can include shelters, family support programs, counsellors, social workers, highschool counsellors, and other local organizations helping women and girls.

What is the difference between DYL Fashions PreLoved Boutique and DYL ThriftStore?

DYL Fashions PreLoved Boutique is our curated boutique. It carries higher-end,designer, vintage, event wear, and special pieces.
DYL Thrift Store is our affordable thrift store. It carries everyday women’s clothing andaccessories at low prices, with nothing priced higher than $8, excluding event wear orspecial items.
Both stores are donation-based, and both help support our mission.

Why are some donated items priced higher at the boutique?

Some items are designer, vintage, new with tags, higher quality, or more unique. Those pieces are placed in the boutique so they can help raise more money for our giving programs.
The thrift store keeps everyday pricing low so women can find affordable outfits, basics,and confidence pieces without spending a lot.

What is your in-store return policy?

In-store purchases may be returned within 7 days for an in-store credit, as long as the original tags are still attached.

Do you sell online?

Yes. All of the items listed on our website are available to purchase online.
Because we sell preloved clothing and accessories, most items are one of a kind. If yousee something you love, we recommend purchasing it before it is gone.
We also have many more items available in store that may not be listed online.
At this time, we only ship within Canada. We also offer free local delivery within Medicine Hat, Redcliff, and Dunmore.

When will my order be shipped?

Online orders are shipped within 24 hours of purchase on weekdays.
Orders placed on the weekend will be shipped the following Monday.
If it is a longweekend, orders will be shipped the following Tuesday.You will receive tracking information as soon as your order has shipped.
We ship through Purolator and Canada Post.

Do you offer local delivery?

Yes. We offer free local delivery within Medicine Hat, Redcliff, and Dunmore.

Where do you ship?

At this time, we only ship within Canada.

What is your online return policy?

Online purchases may be returned for a refund.
The customer is responsible for return shipping and must contact us before sending the
item back so we know the return is coming.
Items must be returned in the same condition they were received.
